Helping Victims Injured in Car Accidents
Many people's lives are impacted by negligent drivers. Craig Lawson helps injured victims throughout the State of Florida.

Many families throughout Florida have their lives impacted by negligent drivers who cause auto collisions when they fail to exercise due care. Although it may be tempting to presume that motor vehicle collisions only happen to others, there are millions of auto accidents in Florida every year that involve injuries and even death.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2020 there were 35,766 car crashes resulting in 38,824 fatalities in the United States. So, someone is killed in a collision every 13 minutes.

Although Florida does not require that all motor vehicle accidents be reported to the police, it is advisable to summon the police to any accident so that an investigation can be conducted and evidence be recorded. Reports will contain witness statements and factual information about the crash. These reports can provide valuable information about the identities of the parties, their insurance coverage, and evidence we can use when we submit your claim to the insurance companies.

It is a good idea to obtain a copy of the accident report from the investigating agency prior to your free initial consultation with my office so we can assess your claim and get to work more quickly. If you are not able to obtain a copy, we can request one for you.

While at the scene of the accident, you should request a card with the officer’s name, contact information, and the police report number. This information will assist us in obtaining the important information about the crash we need.

No matter where your accident happened, or where you are located, the Law Office of W. Craig Lawson is just a phone call away. If you are unable to visit us, we offer phone consultations or will arrange to come to visit you.
